AP/Cash Applications Specialist

A Day in the Life:
As an AP/Cash Applications Specialist, your day will focus on maintaining and processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. You'll process customer payments, prepare daily deposits, and apply payments directly to customer accounts. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help ensure that all financial records are accurate and up to date. You'll collaborate closely with customer service, assist with the monthly accounts receivable closing, and work with the collections team to resolve specific account issues. You will also provide backup support to the billing team and assist with any special projects that arise. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively will ensure you stay on top of deadlines and help the team run smoothly.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience with accounts payable and general accounting procedures preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
