Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Fleet Mechanic will work with various types of machinery, including diesel engines, tree removal equipment , small engine and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment, including trucks, chippers, ditch witch
- Diagnose mechanical issues
- Perform diesel engine repair and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles operating at peak performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed on vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
Skills
- Proficient in diagnosing mechanical problems in various types of vehicles and equipment.
- Experience with diesel engine repair is essential.
- Skills in operating heavy machinery
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience working with farm machinery is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to mechanics are preferred.
