Helena Valley Health Services is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Substance Use Disorder program. Applicants need to have a unrestricted license with the state of Montana and meet the state minimum requirements to supervise Addiction counselor candidates. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to addiction counselors, and support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the delivery of individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning while maintaining accurate medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
• Manage intake processes for new clients, coordinating assessments with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans.
• Lead crisis management efforts, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for patients experiencing mental health or behavioral crises.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records and sensitive client information.
• Collaborate with families, schools, community agencies, and healthcare providers to support holistic client care and case management objectives.
• Monitor clinical outcomes through data collection and research initiatives to continually improve service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure as an LAC in good standing with the state of Montana.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
• Prior supervisory experience leading clinical teams within behavioral health or mental health settings.
• Strong knowledge medical documentation standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management systems) including documentation of patient care activities.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients’ families and multidisciplinary teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and best practices for patient confidentiality.

Pay: $36.32 - $43.73 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
