Openings for Summer Grounds Crew
The Helena Public Schools is accepting applications for Summer Grounds Crew positions. Duties include but are not limited to: Operating a variety of equipment and power tools, performing labor under supervision to contribute to the development and maintenance of Helena Public School grounds; responsible for maintenance of district properties, facilities and equipment; Assists in the maintenance and repair of the district grounds through the following activities including but not limited to: planting, mowing, watering, weeding, trash collection, sign installation/replacement, and a variety of related tasks. The positions operate district vehicles, equipment, and a variety of hand and small power tools as required to support centralized maintenance grounds operations. Performs cleaning/maintenance of district facilities. Performs sports field maintenance by fertilizing, weed spraying, grass seeding, dragging and leveling infields, and watering. Prior experience with automated sprinkler systems is desire but not required.
To become part of this dedicated team, you need:
Essential functions of the position include the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds such as cleaning supplies, pails and unloading trucks. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move up to 1000 pounds such as bulk furniture with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Salary is $14.15 per hour. Successful applicants may be employed up to 40 hours per week.
