Position Summary:
The Parts Specialist is responsible for assisting customers, technicians, and the service team in finding and ordering the correct automotive parts and accessories. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage inventory efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and ordering the correct parts for repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure parts are stocked appropriately.
- Process parts orders, returns, and exchanges promptly and efficiently.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and inquiries regarding parts availability and pricing.
- Collaborate with the service and sales departments to ensure timely fulfillment of parts requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department.
- Use dealership software to track parts sales, orders, and inventory levels.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge and new automotive parts trends.
- Provide excellent customer service, building long-term relationships with retail and wholesale customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Proficiency in using inventory management and dealership software.
- Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
