Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of infants and toddlers by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Supervise children closely during play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure their safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, milestones, and any concerns.
  • Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care.
  • Support teachers in adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures such as pediatric first aid and CPR when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan engaging activities that cater to individual developmental needs, including children with disabilities or special needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to child development progress and classroom routines.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare or preschool settings.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Ability to provide nurturing infant/toddler care with patience and compassion.
  • Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid preferred or willing to obtain upon hire.
  • Familiarity with special education strategies for children with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus.
  • Experience working within daycare center environments or as a nanny or babysitter is highly valued.
