What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant position at Helen Keller Hospital?
Performs patient treatments under the general supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This may include patient transfers; preparing patients and equipment; performing treatments and other duties as assigned or required.
- Education:**Current license or pending by the Alabama State Board of Physical Therapy. CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Experience:**As a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Additional Skills/Abilities
- Complete hospital and department orientation.
- Ability to manage a sometimes stressful work environment subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
- Ability and willingness to work long, irregular hours.
- Frequently be required to assist patient lifting, transfers, exercise, ambulation, whirlpools, etc.
- Sustain a fixed posture against resistance.
