Duties
- Conduct comprehensive title search review and provide a title reports to identify potential issues affecting property ownership.
- Resolve title defects by coordinating with title insurers, lenders, and other stakeholders to clear liens, encumbrances, or discrepancies.
- Provide expert legal counsel on estate planning, land use regulations, environmental law, and other relevant legal areas impacting real estate deals.
- Negotiate terms of agreements and resolve disputes through effective legal negotiation strategies.
- Maintain meticulous case management records using legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw while ensuring compliance with procedural law requirements.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, including title examination, contract drafting, and procedural law.
- Experience with estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law case experience, and workers' compensation law is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective legal advocacy abilities.
- Skilled in litigation support including trial preparation and court depositions.
- Exceptional research capabilities and a thorough understanding of statutory legal frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently within a busy law office environment while maintaining high-quality legal writing and drafting skills.
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and professionally.
