Our ideal candidate will handle case files from start to finish, have excellent credentials, a passion for helping people, and a minimum of 1 year of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience. Salary does not include bonus pay.Compensation:$60,000 - $100,000Responsibilities:Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather informationInvestigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordinglyAppear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigationManage a full caseload of pre-litigation and, where applicable, litigation personal injury mattersConduct client intakes and maintain regular client communicationDraft and review demand letters, pleadings, and settlement agreementsAnalyze medical records and prepare case summariesNegotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and opposing counselRepresent clients in mediations, depositions, and court hearings as neededEnsure cases move forward efficiently and comply with applicable deadlinesQualifications:Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desiredKnowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vitalMembership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law is mandatoryLicensed and in good standing to practice law in Ohio (Required)Licensed in Tennessee and/or Indiana (Preferred)1 year of experience in personal injury law preferred, but not requiredStrong negotiation, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environmentProficient in legal case management software and Microsoft OfficeAbout CompanyHeit Law, LLC is a personal injury law firm representing clients in Ohio and Tennessee.
