Job Summary:
As our brewery’s Cellar and Packaging Lead, you are key player in our brewing operations from fermentation to packaging. This hands-on position involves tank management, cleaning, transferring beer, and maintaining brewery equipment in a safe and sanitary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cellar operations including fermentation monitoring, dry hopping, fining, and carbonating beer
- CIP (Clean-in-Place) and sanitize tanks, hoses, and related brewing equipment
- Transfer beer from fermenters to brite tanks with strict attention to quality and sanitation
- Assist with packaging operations (canning, kegging, bottling)
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of fermentation, transfers, and cellar activities
- Follow SOPs and safety procedures diligently
- Assist with general cleaning and organization of the cellar and brewhouse areas
- Support the brew team as needed for other production-related tasks
Requirements:
- Experience in a brewery production or cellar role preferred (can-filling operations would be
- great!)
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices and quality control in a brewery setting
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and move 165 lb. kegs
- Comfortable working in wet, cold, and noisy environments
- Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for craft beer and a desire to grow within the industry
