What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at Heirloom™?
Facilities Maintenance Technician
St. Paul, Oregon and Woodburn, OR | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
At Heirloom™, we believe beauty matters — in our gardens, our work, and how we treat people. We’re a fast-growing, family-owned company rooted in the fertile Willamette Valley, still operating on the same land where our story began decades ago. From our historic farmhouse offices to our greenhouses full of own-root roses, everything we do is intentional, thoughtful, and people-centered.
We’re looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and safely — someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and supporting a team that truly cares about its work and each other.
If you enjoy working outdoors, value craftsmanship and reliability, and want your work to directly support something beautiful and meaningful, this may be the role for you.

- Troubleshoot mechanical and facility issues to minimize downtime
- Support greenhouse environments including lighting, heating, cooling, irrigation, and controllers
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional facilities and grounds
- Respond to facility emergencies and restore normal operations
- Coordinate maintenance projects with other departments
- Operate tractors, forklifts, loaders, and potting machinery
- Pick up supplies from vendors as needed
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of maintenance or facilities experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Valid Oregon driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Fluent in English or Spanish and conversant in the other (bilingual preferred)
Nursery, agricultural, or greenhouse experience is a plus but not required.
