Truck Sales Support

Position Summary

The Heiman Truck Sales Support is responsible for assisting the Sales team in preparing apparatus specification quotes, reviewing sold apparatus files, and preparing pre-production documents, and delivery.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Prepare specifications and pricing estimates for various product lines , refurbishes or other products as required.
• Assist customers and company sales team with questions regarding product specifications, parts sales, and repair orders.
• Assist with ordering components, correcting, and editing all truck orders
• Assist with deliveries for completed apparatus
• Prepare User Manuals for completed apparatus
• Offer information and advice to sales staff and/or department for effective and efficient truck building aspects
• Represent the company to the community in a positive manner, consistent with its marketing and customer goals
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the fire service & how apparatus are used
• Ability to proactively solve problems while analyzing possible solutions
• Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude needed
• Self-starter with good time management and organizational skills
• Able to influence others and manage conflict
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills
• A team player, working together with internal and external customers, providing insight when needed and able to be flexible when goals or outcomes differ
• Detailed oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Computer skills with knowledge of navigating online search engines and websites. Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. Basic knowledge with other office applications and equipment

Physical Requirements

This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to site, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position occasionally works in an industrial environment and may be exposed to dust, fumes, hazardous chemicals, and loud noises. The employee may occasionally walk on uneven terrain; life 50 lbs.
