Job Summary
Warehouse Supervisors are an extension of the duties that would ultimately be part of the Warehouse Manager’s daily routine. Warehouse Supervisors oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including picking, order scale counting, packing, receiving, and shipping. They supervise warehouse personnel while implementing policies and procedures to create a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
This position pays up to $32.00 per hour. The salary range listed reflects the anticipated base pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant education, experience, and qualifications.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, operate a motor vehicle and forklift (if position requires); strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.

- Oversee daily functions (kitting, pulling, packing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, training/retraining, quality).
- Supervise and guide warehouse associates working in various departments in the warehouse.
- Handle any daily issues that may arise concerning processes within the job function(s).
- Complete yearly reviews for warehouse associates.
- Track productivity and quality numbers for employees in all function(s). Review numbers weekly with the department employees.
- Assure that all necessary work is being completed daily so that productivity and quality of the entire group are maintained.
- Maintain and evaluate staffing levels to make sure each is in line with goals that need to be attained.
- Complete and maintain relevant warehouse reports to make sure they are current and resolve any outstanding issues.
- Participate in warehouse meetings held by the warehouse manager.
- Interview prospective employees when needed.
- Work hours that correspond to the hours that need the most supervision at any given time.
- Perform daily functions (kit, pull, pack, ship) when necessary to make sure daily goals are met.
- Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
- Participate in Company sponsored training and process improvement activities.
- Comply with all Company Policies as defined in the Company’s Warehouse Orientation Packet (Heilind/DB Roberts)
- Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
- Comply with all applicable elements of the Company’s Quality Management System.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- At least two years of supervisor experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
