The Opportunity


Heights Philadelphia seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Individual Giving Coordinator to join our Advancement team. This is a pivotal role reports to the Director of Individual Giving, and supports leaders in the organization in maximizing philanthropic support from a portfolio of high-net-worth donors and prospects.


The Coordinator will be a key contributor in preparing donor briefings and solicitation materials, supporting stewardship and cultivation meetings and events, maintaining accurate donor records, and ensuring timely and meaningful acknowledgments. This position is ideal for someone interested in building a career in nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy.



Key Responsibilities


  • Draft and prepare donor briefings, proposals, and organization updates tailored to individual donor interests.
  • Use online databases and search engines to build profiles for major donors that support the fundraising teams development of strategies and revenue targets
  • Support cultivation and stewardship activities, including scheduling, preparing meeting materials, and tracking next steps.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of donor cultivation and stewardship events
  • Maintain accurate donor records in database (Currently Salesforce), ensuring timely data entry, gift processing, and acknowledgment letters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Advancement to ensure a seamless donor experience.
  • Take on other duties as needed to advance the goals of the team and organization.





Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • A minimum of two (2) years professional experience, with at least one (1) year experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or a related field (internships and volunteer experience considered).
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working with executives, board members, and high-profile external stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRMs such as Salesforce is preferred but not required
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build positive and productive relationships within an organization
  • Collaborative and adaptive mindset, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.

  • Able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Able to meet clearance requirements: PA State background check (PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint Check) prior to hire.
  • Ability to frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
