Job Description


At Heidrick & Co. Insurance, our focus is on property and casualty coverages in the SW Florida area. We endeavor to create long-term relationships with our clients.

Much of our success is attributed to providing super-outstanding client support from a prospect's first contact with our agency through the duration of their insurance needs. This dedication has led to our high year-over-year premium retention rates.


We are seeking a full-time, experienced Account Manager who is committed to our mission of providing white-glove client support, going above and beyond when necessary. This position is an integral member of a three-person, personal lines team. This team's book of business is comprised of many high net worth and multi-location risks.


Please note this is a hybrid office/work-from-home position. Candidates must be willing to commit to a schedule in which he/she works among our Sanibel office, Fort Myers office and home. A full-time, in-office schedule will be required during the initial training phase. Our office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 pm. - Monday through Friday. No weekends!

Responsibilities


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform renewal reviews, determine if a remarket is needed and submit the the appropriate carriers.
  • Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to our prospects and clients.
  • Assist clients with policy/coverage questions and assist with payments when needed.
  • Process policy changes for all lines of business.
  • Work with clients to ensure compliance with underwriting issues that arise after inspections.
  • Renew policy lines, retrieve, review and attach policies, endorsements, etc. in our agency management system.

Requirements


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - 220, 2044, 440 LICENSE

License:

2-20 FL General Lines License

  • Note: Candidates with 20-44 or 4-40 licenses will be considered if:
  1. All other required qualifications are met.
  2. He/She is willing to obtain a 2-20 license.


Experience:

  • A minimum three years experience in a busy retail agency.
  • Significant experience using a robust agency management system. Vertafore’s AMS360 product is ideal, but not required.
  • Coastal insurance knowledge, including a thorough understanding of four-point and wind-mitigations inspection report features is ideal.
  • Superior knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages, including home, condo, flood, wind, auto, umbrella, watercraft, personal articles, etc.
  • Experience quoting and binding homeowner policies.
  • Experience with a personal lines rater (QuoteRush, EZLynx, etc.).

Communication Skills:

  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly effective listening skills.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Strong, independent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Proficient with Google Chrome and other Internet browsers.
  • Ability to scan, attach and upload files/photos.
  • Accurate and fast data entry skills.

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
