What You'll Be Doing
- Operate and maintain roof bolting equipment to ensure accurate measurements and requirements
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.

- Must be able to work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies
- Must be able and willing to work in an underground limestone mine environment with room heights of 27 feet tall and a year-round temperature of 50-60 degrees
- Must be able to operate scaling/bolting equipment safely and efficiently in a tight, underground environment
- Must be able to conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment
- Must be able to visually evaluate roof and rib conditions
- Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic
- Available to work Saturdays and overtime as business demands dictate
- Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
- Other job duties as assigned
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
