What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain strong communications with all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
- Tasks may include grounds upkeep, shoveling, organization of parts
- Assist in maintenance work and area cleanup, this is honestly the bulk of the work.
- Perform a variety of service, inspection, or labor operations throughout the quarry or plants.
- Occasional operation of small mobile equipment.
- Will perform other duties as may be requested.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus.
- Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment
- Prior experience operating mobile equipment (man reach, telehandler, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
- $22.54 per hour night shift differential
- Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension.
