POSITION OVERVIEW:
This internship position will work under the supervision of a project manager and/or a senior-level team member and will be responsible for a combination of office and field-based work to support construction management. This position
primarily field-based and averages 12-20 hours per week. It is ideal for students interested in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field who are looking to gain practical industry experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit active construction sites to document project progress using the OpenSpace visual intelligence platform. Site captures are performed by mounting a 360 camera to your hard hat or handheld camera pole.
- Capture open-room videos and photographs of construction work for project records.
- Check in with site foreman and get update on site conditions, take notes and record findings affecting work.
- Walk entire job sites and thoroughly document conditions and progress.
- Identify and photograph drywall repairs, paint touch-ups, and other items requiring correction or completion.
- Organize and upload photos and videos in accordance with company procedures.
- Create field notes in OpenSpace and develop reports. Communicate observations, findings, and project updates to Project Managers and Project Engineers.
- Assist with tracking and reporting site conditions and punch list items.
- Maintain professionalism and safety awareness while on active construction sites.
- Complete assigned site visits accurately and on schedule.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
In this position you will:

- Be actively enrolled in/pursuing a Construction or Civil Engineering certification/degree program. Completion of 2 yrs in program highly preferred.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a reputation as a team player.
- Be organized with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Have computer proficiency with Microsoft office suite especially Excel.
- Be able to read and write English, specifically to understand instructions, rules, etc. for work activities.
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
- Be a curious learner able to ask questions or share concerns in a timely, proactive manner.
- Be able to meet the rigorous physical requirements of commercial construction to include lifting heavy objects, stand/bend/stoop and climb ladders on a continuous basis.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Be able to ass a pre-employment drug screen to include THC.

- Ability to travel between project locations as needed.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones, cameras, and mobile applications.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand construction terminology, and use digital documentation software. (Beginner is ok if you are willing to learn)

- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test as required for job site access and company policies.
