POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney/Associate Attorney serves in a dual legal capacity, providing legal services to Shelby County and its political subdivisions as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, while maintaining an active private legal practice, under the direction of the partners of Hegemann & Zimmerman Co., LPA.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Ohio.
- Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to effectively advocate in court.
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Professional judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work cooperatively with judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, law enforcement, county officials, private clients, and members of the public.
Preferred
- Prior prosecutorial or litigation experience.
- Trial experience.
- Experience with Ohio criminal law and procedure.
- Experience with civil litigation.
- Experience representing governmental entities or political subdivisions.
- Experience with domestic relations, probate, real estate, business, or transactional law.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
