Position: Sanitation Technician
Pay Rate: $17.60–$18.00/hour
Location: Lodi, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:00 PM (Must be available to work 7 days a week during harvest season.)
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment. This role is responsible for performing deep cleaning and sanitation procedures, safely handling cleaning chemicals, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company sanitation standards. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, exterior tanks, and processing utensils.
- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, ceilings, drains, vents, and other facility surfaces.
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment, including high-pressure water hoses and other sanitation tools.
- Prepare, mix, and safely apply approved cleaning and sanitation chemicals according to company procedure.
- Handle, store, and dispose of sanitation chemicals in accordance with safety regulations.
- Transport waste and recyclable materials to the designated disposal area.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation to support food safety compliance.
- Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and all company sanitation policies.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other workplace safety requirements when performing sanitation tasks.
- Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and identify potential food safety or sanitation concerns.
- Maintain a productive workflow while working in wet, slippery, cold, or physically demanding environment.
- Perform additional sanitation and housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, food production, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and sanitation procedures is a plus.
- Ability to safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must be comfortable working in wet, slippery, cold, and physically demanding condition.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
- Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and a seven-day schedule during harvest season.
