Industrial Seamstress

Position: Seamstress

Pay Rate: $18.50 /hourly

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 5:45am start

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Seamstress will work closely with designers and clients to bring their visions to life, requiring both creativity and technical sewing skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sewing Skills
• Proficient in both hand and machine sewing with a solid understanding of fabric types and their application.
• Attention to Detail, ability to work with precision especially when measuring and adjusting for precision binding.
• Basic Anatomy & Orthopedic Knowledge
• Capable of explaining product use and working collaboratively closely with team members.
• Physical Stamina
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling lightweight materials and equipment. Rotation of sewing stations, walking, moving locations.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 Years experience working as seamstress, preferably in manufacture setting
• Proficiency with industrial sewing machines (single-needle, double-needle, overlock, bar-tack, cover stitch).
• Must be able to read/write in English, and follow tech packs, patterns, and specifications accurately.
• Skilled in alterations, hemming, Velcro application, zippers, snaps, and badge tabs.
• Experience sewing heavy-duty fabrics (canvas, ripstop, Cordura) and trims.
• Strong attention to detail for straight stitching, seam allowance, and clean finishing.
• Consistently maintains uniformity and accuracy across large production runs.
• Ability to inspect own work and meet quality standards before passing to QC.
• Can lift 30lbs, Stand/Sit for 8 hours
