Job Description: As a Cashier/File Clerk at Hedrick’s Chevrolet's service department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customer service and administrative functions during afternoon and evening hours. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the cashier's desk while also assisting with clerical tasks to support the service department's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner as they arrive to pick up their vehicles.
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently using dealership software systems.
- Provide receipts and invoices to customers and answer any questions they may have regarding their service transactions.
- Assist with filing and organizing service records, invoices, and other paperwork to maintain a tidy and efficient workspace.
- Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure smooth communication and coordination of customer service needs.
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or individual.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed by management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, or administrative roles preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
