A General Carpenter for Hedrick Brothers Construction constructs and repairs various items related to the construction industry by performing the following duties.

- Install finish items such as counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, doorframes and finish hardware.
- Perform tasks normally associated with commercial/residential construction such as:
- Fabricate and install forms
- Prepare and set batter boards
- Prepare anchor bolt templates
- Set anchor bolts
- Set trusses, sheeting, framing, etc.
- Build cabinets and other wooden equipment in carpenter shop.
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend general instructions, safety manuals, short correspondence and memos.
- Mathematics: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiple and divide.
- Mathematics: Knowledge of basic geometry.
- Equipment: Ability to operate a variety of electric and gas powered hand tools.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form.
- Reasoning: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Reasoning: Ability to interpret blueprints necessary for assisting in layout.
- Reasoning: Ability to perform tasks without direct supervision.

- Valid Driver’s License
- Potential to be exposed to rain, and/or extreme heat or cold in outdoor environment.
- Potential to be exposed to loud noises and machinery for long periods of time.
- Potential to be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock and vibration.
- Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours in a day.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 3 hours at a time.
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull or carry up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 100 pounds.
- Feeling in hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
