Retail Showroom Associate – Part-Time

HedgeApple, a locally owned furniture and home décor showroom in Lawrence, Kansas, is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Showroom Associate to join our team.
This is a part-time position working Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with pay ranging from $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has an appreciation for furniture, interiors, and home décor. The right person will be welcoming and professional with customers, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers with furniture and home décor selections
- Answer questions about products, pricing, and availability
- Process showroom and online sales and assist with customer orders
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Open and close the showroom, following established procedures
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Maintain merchandise displays and assist with showroom styling
- Assist with receiving, tagging, and organizing merchandise
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Interest in furniture, interior design, or home décor
- Comfortable working independently
- Retail or sales experience preferred but not required
- Ability to occasionally lift or move smaller furniture and décor items
