Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Controller to join our commodity trading and risk management firm based in Manchester, NH. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional seeking a stable, long-term part-time position that offers meaningful responsibility, work-from-home flexibility, and direct collaboration with company leadership.

This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking to step away from a traditional full-time schedule while remaining in a meaningful accounting role.

Schedule

• Approximately 30 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Work Arrangement

Initial training will be conducted in our Manchester office. Following the training period, this position will be performed primarily from home. Employees should expect periodic in-office attendance for meetings, collaboration, training, and other business needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare ACH and wire payments (with management approval)
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
• Support budgeting, cash flow management, and other accounting activities
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies
• Manage and process weekly payroll through the company's existing Paychex system

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience overseeing the full accounting cycle is preferred
