What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at Hedge of Protection Security?
Must have or be willing to have an Alabama Security License. A Good candidate for this position is Flexible, confident, and good with people. Customer service is important. Prior military experience and/or law enforcement, security experience is preferred. Security officers are responsible for protecting personnel and property, crowd control, and keeping the peace. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have reliable transportation, a working cell phone and be able to lift over 75 pounds. Security serves the public so the ability to adjust to last minute changes and/or fill a customer's needs with little to no notice is a requirement for the position.
Other preferred skills are: Dependable, honest, healthy body and mind, and proactive vs. reactive.
**Must be willing to work nights and weekends.**

Hedge of Protection offers the opportunity for advancement, lateral changes, and training for armed and unarmed Officers.
Hedge of Protection Will Provide assistance with new applicants who desire to enter the industry with the licensing process. Unlicensed staff are able to start with a Temporary Security license (according to the ASRB guidelines) and work for up to 30 days. Unlicensed staff while in training will be paid at the rate of $12.50/hr until they are Fully compliant and trained.
