Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Event Security to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of various events, providing exceptional guest services, and creating memorable experiences for attendees. As an Event Security Team member, you will play a vital role in supporting event management and enhancing the overall atmosphere.

Duties

• Provide excellent guest services by welcoming attendees and addressing their needs throughout the event.
• Engage with guests through public speaking when necessary, providing information about the event schedule or activities.
• Handle conflict management effectively to ensure a positive experience for all attendees.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless event operations.
• Supervise children during family-oriented events or activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Previous experience in events management is preferred but not required.
• Skills in conflict management to address any issues that may arise during events effectively.
• Experience with cash handling is beneficial for roles involving ticket sales or concessions.
• Public speaking skills are advantageous for engaging with guests and presenting information clearly.
• Experience working with children is valuable for family-focused events or activities.
• Background in guest services or hospitality will enhance your ability to create positive experiences for attendees.

Job Overview

• Role Type: part-time, or seasonal and Flex
• Goal: Maintain safety, order, and a smooth flow of people
• Work Environment: Loud, crowded indoor and outdoor venues; long periods of standing or walking

Key Responsibilities

• Access Control: Check tickets, scan credentials, and restrict entry to backstage or VIP zones.
• Guest Screening: Inspect bags and use metal detectors or wands to stop prohibited items.
• Crowd Management: Direct foot traffic, prevent bottlenecks, and keep emergency exits clear.
• Behavior Monitoring: Watch for unruly actions, intoxication, or suspicious behavior and de-escalate conflicts.
• Emergency Response: Act fast during medical issues, fights, or fires, and guide emergency evacuations.
• Coordination: Work closely with event staff, managers, and local police

Job Requirements and expectations:

• Must have an AL Security guard License
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able and available to work nights and weekends
• Must be free to work with little notice (Flexible).
• Must be responsible since the chosen applicant will be a 1099

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
