Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all guest requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a friendly and engaging attitude.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage table settings, bussing, and sanitation to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, demonstrating culinary knowledge and food safety standards.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly in a fast-paced setting.
- Support sanitation protocols and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests quickly and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management.
