We partner with power, steel, coal, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and more to prevent failures and keep plants running. You’ll be on the front lines, ensuring rotating equipment performs at its best.
Your impact
- Inspect, test, and validate electro-mechanical equipment performance.
- Execute electrical tests with portable gear (Megger, Surge, HI-Pot).
- Perform mechanical inspections focused on sleeve-bearing machinery.
- Deliver on-site services: electrical testing, vibration analysis, and precise shaft alignments.
- Communicate technical findings to customers and recommend next steps.
- Create and submit detailed service reports.
- Represent HECO’s standards and values at customer sites.
What you’ll bring
- 2 years of electric motor field service or millwright experience.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude; rotating equipment experience is a plus.
- Team-first mindset and strong communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and operate in fast-paced environments.
- Attention to detail with strong technical writing skills.
- Travel about 40% with overnight stays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical requirements
- Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for long stretches.
- Work outdoors and in demanding industrial environments.
- Perform manual labor for 12 hours per day when required.
