Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with case teams in our Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC offices, providing hands‑on litigation technology support, logistics coordination, and technical troubleshooting.
- Support case teams’ litigation technology and eDiscovery needs across all phases of the EDRM, including data collection, processing, review, analytics, production, and post‑production support.
- Assist case teams with document productions, including production setup, execution, validation, and delivery, and perform or coordinate production‑level quality control (QC) to ensure accuracy, defensibility, and compliance with court rules, protective orders, and client requirements.
- Leverage analytics, automation, and AI‑assisted tools (e.g., technology‑assisted review, machine learning QC, clustering, communication analysis, language identification, and automated redactions) to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance review and production outcomes.
- Organize, configure, and manage eDiscovery and trial technology platforms (including Relativity, Everchron and similar tools), and make recommendations to case teams on workflow design, analytics strategies, and best practices.
- Directly manage outside eDiscovery and litigation support vendors, including scoping projects, reviewing and negotiating contracts, soliciting and comparing price quotes, reviewing invoices, and monitoring vendor performance.
- Act as the primary liaison between outside vendors and internal case teams, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, budget awareness, and alignment with case strategy and technical requirements.
- Assist attorneys and case teams with production‑related decision‑making, including format selection, metadata handling, redactions, privilege considerations, and rolling production strategies.
- Maintain clear and defensible matter‑level technical documentation, including collection logs, processing and exception logs, analytics decisions, production specifications, QC checklists, and document production logs.
- Support workload management and resource allocation across the eDiscovery / Litigation Support Technology team, helping to balance competing deadlines and prioritize critical case needs.
- Serve as a passionate advocate for analytics, automation, and responsible AI use, helping educate case teams on available capabilities while ensuring appropriate human oversight and defensibility.
- Remain current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in eDiscovery, litigation support, and proactively identify opportunities to implement improvements.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below:
- Education and Experience: You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a litigation-specific role at a law firm. An eDiscovery certification—e.g., Certified E- Discovery Specialist (CEDS) or Certified Information Privacy Professional for the United States (CIPP/U)—preferred but not required.
- Knowledge and Skills: You have an exceptional working knowledge of eDiscovery and litigation case-management principles, extensive familiarity with ESI Protocols and other data delivery or discovery exchange guidelines (SEC, DOJ, CFTC, FINRA, etc.), fluency with structured load files and the technical specifications for processing and producing documents in legal matters and are tech-savvy.
- Clear Communication and Attention to Detail: You express yourself clearly and concisely, always highlighting the most important information. You proactively communicate the status of your work and share updates with colleagues when necessary. You ensure that your work is mistake free.
- Confidentiality: You must be able to adhere to Firm policies regarding the protection of confidential data and demonstrate sensitivity to (and good judgment in connection with) confidential attorney, personnel, and Firm matters.
- Flexibility: You are flexible to be available after hours to assist with eDiscovery and case- management issues and questions. You are comfortable in an environment where your responsibilities may vary from day to day. You demonstrate a "no job too big, no job too small" attitude, and take a collaborative, team-focused approach to rejuggling priorities and contributing to tasks across the Firm.

In addition, the successful candidate will be based in the Los Angeles area or willing to relocate.
Compensation: The expected base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 - $160,000 and is dependent on experience.
