Housekeeper

Hebron Academy is seeking a dedicated and dependable person to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will possess a background in housekeeping and sanitizing with an ability to work independently as well as part of the team. This is a full-time position with a competitive starting pay and benefits package.

Our beautiful school is located in western Maine on a 1500-acre campus with trails, ponds, and mountains. You possess good communication skills both verbal and written. You are organized and perform your job duties with attention to detail. You understand that the majority of your work will be done in the early morning hours and are willing and able to flex your work hours, as needed.

What would you do?

Your most important job duties include:

• Daily cleaning of student and community spaces within multiple buildings on campus (including, but not limited to, classrooms, offices, dorm rooms, gymnasium, student union, bathrooms, hallways, health center)
• Sterilizing and restocking all bathrooms, including floors, and removing trash
• Periodically stripping and waxing floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls, windows, blinds and dusting
• Cleaning of residential housing prior to a new occupant moving in
• Other duties as directed

Qualifications:

• Experience as an industrial housekeeper is preferred
• Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs
• Must possess a valid Maine driver's license
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and protocols and exercise good judgement
• Hours are 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with a couple of Saturday shifts each year for big events (ie. Homecoming and Commencement).
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be prepared to complete a background check and fingerprinting if position is offered.
