Fifth Grade General Studies Teacher
HAFTR (Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway) is seeking a warm, passionate, and collaborative Fifth Grade General Studies Teacher to join our Lower School team for the 2026–2027 school year.
The ideal candidate is a student-centered educator who can create an engaging and supportive classroom environment while providing strong instruction in English Language Arts, math, social studies, and science.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the elementary level
- Strong classroom-management and communication skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a range of student needs
- Collaborative spirit and growth mindset
- Bachelor’s degree required; teaching certification and master’s degree preferred
