Heber Valley Meat - Meat Packer - Full Time
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Meat Packer. No experience required. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a trade with future growth for meat cutting. The responsibilities and skills of this position include:
- Processing cuts of beef, pork, and lamb. This will include using traditional knives and a band saw.
- Carefully inspecting the quality of each piece of meat to ensure business and USDA regulations are met.
- Packaging meat using a vacuum sealer.
- Understanding verbal and written cutting instructions.
- Basic computer skills for inputting and printing labels
- Following strict guidelines to keep a clean workspace during the day and assist in deep cleaning at the end of every shift.
- Assisting customers who visit the shop in person. This can include weighing, packaging, and ringing up orders and answering customer questions.
- The right individual for this position should be able to remain standing for long periods of time and be able to confidently lift 50 pounds.
Pay depends on experience but the target range is $14-17/hour.

Heber Valley Meat is locally owned and operated in Heber City. We provide quality beef, pork, and lamb at competitive prices. Being a full carcass butcher allows for custom cuts based on customer needs. The livestock that provide the products are born and raised in Utah, continuing the goal for sustainability and community support. In addition, Heber Valley Meat offers mobile slaughter and processing. This much needed service allows the butcher shop to support small ranchers in the Wasatch Back.
