Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Working knowledge of general preventative maintenance and safety procedures - Skills to use fabricating tools - Welding skills (trailer repair) - Electrical skills (shorts / repair diagnosis) - Ability to read schematic diagrams -
Education: or equivalent -
Licenses/Certifications: Current CDL - Current DOT certification - OEM / ASE certification in brakes - Third-party tire certification - Basic welding certification - Completion of third-party training -
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:Work in a team environment Lift 100 lbs and carry a distance of 5 ft Work sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and in a prone position Work with hands over head Climb; work from a ladder Possess / maintain required tools Obtain DOT certification within 1 year of hire

- Assists in basic to mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Performs basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and replacements in assigned specific classification
- Operates with basic tooling
- May work with others in an apprentice-style environment
- Assists in minor trailer repairs; repairs / replaces lights and interior plywood; adjusts brakes, repairs air leaks, repairs scuff liner
- Performs basic welding
- Repairs / replaces wheels and tires
- Performs all safety-sensitive trailer repairs with some degree of Trainer assistance depending on Tech's experience
- Performs Associate Trailer Tech duties
