What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative position at Heavyweight Air Express?
Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative will work with customers relating to their needs for international transportation of cargo.
Responsibilities & Job Functions Include:
· Book shipments with the appropriate Air Carrier by examining destination, route, rate and transit time
· Verify cargo shipped can be coordinated and forwarded to the final destination
· Keep customers informed with forwarding notices and current status updates
· Address any service issues and liaise between carrier and customer with the information that is collected and accessed.
· Coordinate & expedite requests, time-specific and special requests
· Negotiate rates with carriers on ADHOC basis
· Benchmark freight rates
