Job Overview
We are seeking a driven, high-energy Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow our heavy-duty aftermarket parts business within Columbus, GA area. In this role, you will be the face of our company, hitting the road to build lasting relationships with commercial fleets, repair shops, municipalities, and agricultural operations. If you have a deep understanding of heavy-duty truck/trailer components, a passion for solving mechanical problems for customers, and a track record of closing deals, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary objective will be to drive revenue growth and expand market share through face-to-face consultative selling.
- Territory Management: Maintain and grow sales with existing accounts while aggressively prospecting for new business opportunities.
- Consultative Selling: Identify customer pain points (downtime, part longevity, cost) and deliver tailored product solutions from our heavy-duty catalog.
- Product Expertise: Conduct product demonstrations and clinics to educate customers on the features and benefits of our aftermarket parts (brakes, suspension, drivetrain, electrical, etc.).
- Relationship Building: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with fleet maintenance managers, shop owners, and parts procurement specialists.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor local competitor activity, pricing shifts, and industry trends to feed critical insights back to the management team.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
- Experience: 2–5 years of successful B2B outside sales experience, ideally within the automotive, heavy-duty truck, or industrial supply industries.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of heavy-duty truck and trailer components, systems, and the aftermarket ecosystem.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (frequent local/regional travel required).
- Communication: Stellar interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a heavy-duty mechanic, parts counter professional, or fleet manager looking to transition into sales.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Extensive daily travel by vehicle within the assigned territory.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy-duty parts samples weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Exposure to repair shop environments (noise, grease, varying temperatures).
Pay: $57,398.21 - $69,124.73 per year
