Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and customers. Your primary goal will be to prevent theft, minimize losses, and maintain a safe environment. If you have a strong background in surveillance, loss prevention, conflict management, and law enforcement, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveillance of the premises using CCTV cameras and other monitoring systems
- Identify and investigate suspicious activities or behavior
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and shrinkage
- Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access
- Respond to alarms or incidents in a timely manner
- Detain and question individuals suspected of theft or other criminal activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches or incidents
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with security protocols
Skills:
- Proven experience in loss prevention, surveillance, or related field
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and criminal investigation techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interacting with individuals at all levels
- Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment
