Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Help clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
- Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Support clients with memory care strategies to promote cognitive engagement.
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and effective care delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR or willingness to obtain certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
