Salon Assistant

Position Summary
The Salon Front Desk & Administrative Support position is responsible for helping maintain the daily operations of the salon and providing a welcoming, professional experience for clients. This position supports salon specialists and management by assisting with administrative duties, client services, scheduling, sales, communication, and maintaining an organized and inviting salon environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and provide professional, courteous customer service.
• Manage client appointments, including scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and canceling appointments.
• Check clients in and out while ensuring appointments and services are accurately recorded.
• Process client payments and provide receipts as needed.
• Sell salon products and educate clients on products that complement their services.
• Monitor product displays and assist with maintaining an organized retail area.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and direct questions to the appropriate salon specialist or management.
• Monitor and respond to salon emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist clients with refreshments and help maintain a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
• Support salon specialists with day-to-day needs to help ensure services operate smoothly.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of common areas, including the reception area and client spaces.
• Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, paperwork, and other tasks assigned by management.
• Assist with social media activities, including preparing and posting salon content, promotions, announcements, and updates.
• Help promote salon services, special events, promotions, and retail products.
• Communicate important information between clients, salon specialists, and management.
• Assist with monitoring supplies and notifying management when items need to be reordered.
• Help ensure salon policies and procedures are followed consistently.
• Provide additional operational support as needed to help the salon run efficiently and professionally.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 per week
