Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our Christian team. Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and slicers safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to uphold hygiene standards
• Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service
• Follow food safety guidelines for handling, storage, and sanitation practices
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow

Skills

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and correctly
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
• Familiarity with food industry standards related to catering, restaurant service, or culinary operations
• Understanding of food safety management practices to prevent contamination or spoilage
• Experience in meal preparation for large groups or catering settings is a plus
