Part Time Retail Associate - Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience

This is an onsite position at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience located in Bardstown, KY.

What The Role Is

The Retail Associate will be responsible for daily retail operations at Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience. This position will handle cashier and inventory duties, including all point-of-sale activity. The Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and answering all questions and inquiries about our product.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Responsible for daily Point of Sale (POS) activity
• Establish strong working relationship with Retail Lead and work together to ensure data integrity in the POS system Counterpoint
• Perform the roles of cashier and greeter to guests
• Interact with guests, provide knowledge of the spirits and samples as requested
• Educate guests about the brand stores, histories and processes
• Maintain a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor at all times
• Handle merchandise and bottle sale transactions.
• Restock inventory and maintain a clean retail environment.
• Support visitor check-in for tours
• All other duties as required
  
  

Who You Are…

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to represent the company and communicate professionally and effectively with people internally and externally
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
• Basic knowledge of phone, voice mail, and electronic mail systems
• Basic knowledge and use of computers to enter data or process information
• Available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Available to work 8-10 hour shifts independently
  
  

Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience

• Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry and/or knowledgeable on spirits industry
• Previous work experience in a retail gift shop
  
  

Physical Requirements

While performing job duties, the employee is occasionally required to:

• stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, use of computer; and reach with hands and arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
