Position Summary
The PEAK Assistant for Heathwood Programs reports to the PEAK Director and works with other PEAK professional staff members in maintaining a program for students at Heathwood Hall. This position requires flexible work hours and commitment to work as needed and determined by the PEAK Program Director. Under the direction of the PEAK Director, the PEAK Assistant will provide a variety of support to the PEAK program by way of skill development, outdoor learning and activities, and PEAK trips.
Support For Current Curriculum Includes
- Skill development and related safety issues associated with climbing and belaying, paddling, biking and archery.
- Activities and skills associated with hiking, camping, and backpacking, including:
- Campsite selection
- Tent set up
- Cooking
- Navigation
- LNT practices
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent- students represent ideal candidates
