Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites and during remodeling projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow on-site
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, or malfunctions; troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to coordinate project tasks
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed in compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Valid journeyman plumber certification or license with proven field experience in construction plumbing
- Extensive hands-on experience with construction site plumbing installation and repair processes
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pipe threading, welding, HVAC systems, and schematic interpretation
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Experience working on construction sites or remodeling projects with a focus on safety protocols
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to commercial plumbing systems
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving as needed for transporting materials or equipment
