Inventory Accuracy & Control

This position leads inventory control processes, including cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and transaction discipline, while supporting Production, Procurement, Inside Sales, and Manufacturing Engineering through accurate material visibility.

Responsibility (Core Activities)
Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Own inventory accuracy across all Houston warehouses, product lines, and material types
- Ensure alignment between physical inventory and ERP system (Epicor) records
- Develop and maintain cycle count programs based on material criticality and usage
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause identification
- Establish and enforce inventory control procedures and transaction discipline
- Ensure all material movements (receipts, transfers, consumption, adjustments) are properly recorded in Epicor
- Monitor and improve accuracy of inventory transactions across departments
- Identify and correct gaps in transaction processes that impact inventory accuracy
- Train and reinforce proper system usage related to inventory transactions
- Partner with Production to ensure accurate material consumption and reporting
- Support Procurement by validating received materials and resolving discrepancies
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on BOM accuracy and material usage issues
- Provide visibility to leadership on inventory risks, discrepancies, and trends
- Identify trends in inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions
- Improve inventory processes to reduce errors, waste, and inefficiencies
- Support initiatives to improve inventory turns, reduce excess/obsolete inventory, and improve material flow
- Recommend improvements to inventory layout, storage, and handling practices
- Supervise, train, and develop the Inventory Control Technician
- Set priorities and manage workload for inventory control activities
- Ensure consistent execution of cycle counts and inventory audits
- Promote accountability and discipline in inventory processes
- Accuracy of inventory records within Epicor
- Alignment between physical inventory and system inventory
- Timely identification and resolution of discrepancies
- Effectiveness of inventory control processes and procedures
- Visibility and communication of inventory risks and issues
- Inventory control processes, procedures, and cycle count methodologies
- Prioritization of discrepancy investigations and resolution efforts
- Recommendations for inventory adjustments and corrective actions
- Enforcement of transaction discipline across departments
- Work with Production to improve material usage accuracy and reporting
- Support Procurement with receiving accuracy and supplier-related discrepancies
- Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on BOM and usage accuracy
- Support leadership with data and insights related to inventory performance
- Lead cycle count program and inventory audits
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Ensure accurate inventory transactions in ERP system
- Supervise Inventory Control Technician
- Maintain inventory control processes and documentation
- Support cross-functional inventory-related activities
- Drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and control
- Production Manager / Supervisor: Material usage and transaction accuracy
- Procurement: Receiving accuracy and supplier discrepancies

- Finance: Inventory valuation and adjustments
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Strong understanding of inventory processes, transactions, and controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and develop team members
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Salary : $56,000 - $64,000
