What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Development Designer position at Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration?
The Product Development Designer will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare detail drawings of products from sketches using CAD equipment and associated peripheral equipment and software.
- Follow instructions and procedures.
- Perform non-complex detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.
- Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
- Contribute design modifications to improve the product quality and function.
What We Are Looking For
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 2 years related experience.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of design tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $67,000 - $88,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
