CNC Machine Operator

A CNC Machine Operator sets up, operates and monitors computer-controlled machines to produce parts from raw materials.

Working hours are 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM onsite in Galesburg, IL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and run the CNC machines, load and unload raw materials and oversee the machines while they are running.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerance, using micrometers and height gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD design.
• Calibrate and set up machines, including tool registers, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Perform maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems during productions runs.
• Maintain logs on production, machine actions, and quality checks.
  
  

Job Requirements

• At least two years of experience with CNC machines, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge to ensure high quality parts and tight tolerances.
• Interpret technical drawings on blueprints.
• Proficient with measurements and calculations.
• Stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
