HearWell Center is searching for an Audiologist Assistant in a private practice located in Wilkin's Twp near Monroeville, PA. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive compensation as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Rooming Patients
- Prepare rooms for patients according to procedure, to include equipment needed and cleaning per infection control protocol
- Shuts down all equipment in booth room, hearing aid fitting room, lab and diagnostics room and verifies all rooms are clean at the end of the day
Hearing Aid Related Tasks
- Send out, track, function check and coordinate delivery of hearing aids to patients with Audiologist supervision
- As allowed by state law, perform routine cleaning of hearing aids
- Performs hearing aid orientation, including basic care and use of the hearing aid
- Demonstrate and sell Assistive Listening Devices
- Maintain hearing aid supplies and order as needed
Miscellaneous Duties
- Perform front office duties on an as needed basis.
- Aware of marketing activities
- Assist patients with exchanges or returns as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain good public relations
- Perform all other miscellaneous duties as assigned
In addition to professional responsibilities, the Audiologist Assistant will be part of a team engaging in marketing outreach and growing positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, fellow healthcare practitioners, and community organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED, prefer some college coursework in speech and/or hearing sciences
- One-year experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills
- Strong keyboard/computer experience
- Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines
- Must be able to travel outside the state for professional development opportunities as required by the practice
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: This position starting pay can range considerably depending on prior work experience and licensure/certification. The pay range could start at $15.50-22/hour or more.
Office Hours: Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5:30 PM
