Overview
We are seeking a board-certified cardiovascular physician to serve as a supervising physician for our Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF).
This contract role offers collaboration and professional growth opportunities. The physician will be responsible for the direct and ongoing oversight of the quality of the testing performed, the proper operation and calibration of the equipment used to perform tests, and the qualifications of non-physician personnel who use the equipment at its assigned independent diagnostic testing facility (IDTF).
The Supervising Physician is also responsible for maintaining compliance and proficiency standards with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Periodically review and co-sign company’s documentation as required;
- Oversee the quality of testing performed;
- Oversee the proper operation, maintenance and calibration of the equipment used to perform tests;
- Ensure the proper qualifications of non-physician IDTF personnel who use the equipment.
- Other mutually agreed upon duties which are necessary and appropriate for an IDTF Supervising Physician;
- Limit IDTF supervising activities to 3 IDTF sites at all times.
- Ensure continued compliance with the requirements of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) to participate in any Federal Executive (FEB) procurement or non-procurement programs.
Skills
- Meet proficiency standards in ambulatory ECG monitoring and ECG analysis;
- Good understanding of business organization and processes related to an independent diagnostic & testing facility (IDTF);
- Knowledge of the applicable federal and state-of-practice laws and regulations;
- Analytical and synthesis skills to accurately analyze and identify problems in the operation of devices and equipment;
- Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office suite).
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medecine (DO) with a specialization in cardiovascular medecine;
- Board certification in cardiology is required
- Medicare enrollment (any state)
- An active and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
An active and unrestricted medical license in any additional state would be a strong asset.
