Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Engage residents through meaningful activities, behavior management strategies, and social interaction to promote well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community settings
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration or EMR systems is a plus
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members while maintaining professionalism and empathy
