Heartland Women’s Healthcare of Advantia is seeking talented Sonographers to join our Wentzville, MO office. We are seeking individuals that are open to expand on and cultivate a great team environment within our sonography team! We are seeking a full-time or part-time Sonographers that specialize in Women’s Health.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician or their designated healthcare provider.
- Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
- Review the patient's medical chart prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the images and videos required.
- Promptly communicate any abnormalities or concerns with the care team.
- Provide information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and respond to the patient's questions and concerns.
- Review images before sending them to the physician to ensure a clear image of the area requested.
- Soothe and reassure nervous or anxious patients.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography from CAAHEP accredited school.
- Current ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty required.
- Previous OB/GYN ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
- 1 years of experience as a sonographer preferred.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy and functions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients and care team.
- Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information.
- A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and processes to patients.
